Description

Restorative practices help build community, celebrate accomplishments, transform conflict, rebuild relationships that have been harmed, and reintegrate students who have been suspended or expelled through an equity lens. Both the theory and practice of Restorative Justice emphasize identifying harm, involving all stakeholders, and true accountability- repairing harm and addressing its causes. A restorative model aligns with the multi-tiered framework and is at the heart, a prevention-based approach connecting social-emotional learning for both students and adults. With relationships and community at the heart of all RJP, this model presents multiple opportunities to develop, practice, and reinforce the five social and emotional competencies. Expected Learner Outcomes • Understand the theory of Restorative Practices and learn the model for school settings integrated with SEL • Align Restorative Practices within the MTSS framework • Learn strategies that foster positive relationships and school connections for students, staff, and families • Build the needed skills to implement Restorative Justice Practices school-wide (Tier I), within classrooms (Tier I) as well as harm circles (Tier II) • Practical application and practice of circles within shared values and guidelines Breakfast and lunch provided both days 10 Clock Hours Available  Please send Purchase Order Questions to: [email protected]
