Please join DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh and the City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police for a behind-the-scenes tour of Pittsburgh’s Mounted Police.

Tour highlights will include the history of the City of Pittsburgh and its use of horses specifically within the Bureau, how the Mounted Unit was revived, where the horses come from, their background, and how the city acquired them, as well as training of the horses, including their exclusive training for police work in an urban environment.
