Indie / Rock / Alternative / Electronic band looking for Bassist

Description

Just before the pandemic, my close friend and I started a music project. With covid, we pivoted, and pivoted again, waiting for everything to make a little more sense before looking for more musicians to play with. By some stroke of luck we met some people and we were able to have some good connections and experiences. Now we’re turning the dial. We have an awesome 4 man group, and are lacking a bassist. We’re looking primarily for a bassist, and if you also play synth/synth bass - that’s a huge plus. As the primary songwriter, I have an extensive back catalog of riffs/songs/sketches to pull from. Right now, we’re working with a producer on 5 primary songs, and are planning to record an EP by the end of the year - with an LP soon to follow. We have another 5-10 songs at our fingertips, with another 50 to call up as needed. While some of the stuff we’re working on has parts pre-written for bass, we’re ultimately looking for any/all musicians that play with us to have their own voice and creative collaboration become a part of our process. We’re looking for someone who is committed and consistent. Currently we play in our studio twice a week minimum, with some days off here and there for vacations and concerts, etc. We are playing Wednesday evenings at 6:30, and one day between Friday and Sunday. US: 35 M - Vocal/Guitar/Songwriter 32 M - Guitar/Synth/Songwriter 21 M - Lead Guitar 25 M - Drummer YOU: Bass - (creative, dedicated, consistent, communicative, playful) Ideally you’re someone we’d like to hang out with and muse about world and ideas, etc. INFLUENCES: Radiohead, Modest Mouse, Destroyer, Talking Heads, Pink Floyd, The National, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Doors, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Turnstile, King Krule, LCD Soundsystem
