I, "Queen Mother" Alaina travels back and forth from USA to West Africa connecting the similar cultures of West Africa and New Orleans together and keeping our ancestors alive! Growing up I have always knew deep within me something was different about the culture of people in New Orleans verses any other states in America. I'm native born New Orleans and my non profit Queens of Africa USA will be presenting the 2nd Annual NOLA Krewe of West Africa Culture Coronation Ball February 10, 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm and Festival Saturday February 11, 2023, 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm at EDDOS Venue (outdoors) in New Orleans, live music, West Africa and New Orleans footwork dancing, food and history celebrated (NOLA means New Orleans Louisiana, Krewe means Tribe or Klan, Coronation means the crowning of a King and Queen) We will crown a selected couple to represent our West Africa Ancestors and Culture in New Orleans dress in your Africa attire to celebrate our ancestors legacy and culture in New Orleans. Come show them some love, we are bringing International Ghana Artist Togbe from Ghana to perform bringing the Ghana flavor, other Africans and Caribbean Artists to perform. Enjoy delicious West Africa Foods and New Orleans Culture Foods. All cultures welcome to attend and perform by selection. Bring your beautiful decorated Umbrellas because we are going to have a good time!
