KIDS FILM WORKSHOP
During the 573 Film Festival—Oct 14, 15, and 23, hosted by the City of Perryville and the Semo Council of the Arts, a kid's film workshop will be held where kids make a real short film and then attend a Red Carpet event to watch the film on the big screen at the Perry Park Theater.
This workshop is held by real film Production Assistants with real-life film experience. In this hands-on workshop, your child will become a part of a film production team to shoot a short film.
We will be meeting at the Catalyst Event Center in Perryville. Then your child will be given a short film script. After a brief preproduction meeting, we will create storyboards and plan our films. Then we will team up and start shooting movies. Each team will have access to props, actors, and locations.
After filming, the production assistants will edit the films. They will add effects, music, and sound effects, and then on the following weekend, the Perry Park Center Theater will present the movies made and hold a RED CARPET screening reception. Yes, your child will stroll down the Red Carpet for bows and pics.
