I have a very heartbreaking situation. We have to give up our 10 yr old Doberman Pinscher. He is AKC registered, male and still intact (not neutered). We are moving out of state and we will not be able to take him with us. He has bad arthritis and is moving a little slow. We give him joint supplements which helps him a lot. Otherwise he’s a very handsome large male. Very affectionate. Awesome temperament. Protective when needed. Not overly aggressive or anything like that. He doesn’t do well with cats or other large males. He just can’t jump into the back of a truck or climb anything. My neighbors recommended that I put him down (to sleep) because of his age and arthritis. I honestly do not have the heart to do that. And with us moving out of state, it makes things so much more difficult. So we’ve decided to give him away. For free. To anyone willing to give him a good forever home. Quality of life is most important for us. He will come with collar and tags, bowl and some of his food that he loves. He is up to date with vaccines. Please, only ppl who have a heart to give him what he needs, which is lots and lots of love. He is not energetic as he once was. However, I do not think he’s ready to go to doggy heaven.
