Critics of western culture often point out that our American way of life has unduly influenced the lives of others around the world. While the US film industry is often credited (blamed) for the biggest impact on cultures outside our nation, this may not be true. The industries of Silicon Valley may actually have a bigger impact on how the world operates and on what people value. Ethical biocentrist Curt Collier will share how the socio-economic patterns of the tech industry are actually having a bigger influence on morality worldwide. The question is whether this is a good thing or not. Come and decide for yourself.
Welcome to ECSSV's monthly 'Spotlight' meeting, where we invite a speaker to enlighten and challenge us on a topic of ethical relevance to our lives. We invite questions and discussion, and we mix in a little live music, light refreshment, and community sharing.
The program runs from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, and all are welcome to linger afterward, share thoughts, and socialize. Please RSVP via Meetup so we know to expect you! ()
