URGENT | Pack food for students in need

We are in desperate need of more than 20 volunteer packers to keep up with a crazy increase in demand. Do something for the most vulnerable in our community. You will help pack 70 or more bags that go out that week to kids suffering from homelessness or housing insecurity in King County. Many students rely on our bags. By delivering bags of food to schools, we feed 3,000 kids per week to get from Friday lunch to Monday breakfast without a single stomach growl. Make an impact in your community today! Shifts are Tuesdays and Thursdays, volunteers arrive between 8:00 am and 9:30 am. Your duties typically take about two to three hours. We serve 84 schools in Seattle, Renton, Highline, Bellevue, and everywhere in between. Our warehouse is located near Showbox Sodo and Filson on 1st Avenue South Seattle. Please consider becoming a weekly packer for Backpack Brigade. With recent expansions into new districts, we are at our limit and don’t have the heart to turn anyone away.
