School is in full swing, and you may have noticed that your child is struggling with math or science, and you need a tutor asap. As a NYC Public School teacher since 2014, I've helped my students get a firmer grasp and understanding of mathematics and the sciences by employing the Socratic Method. I work with what students already know, and help them develop their understanding through questioning and research skills (such as how to use their notes and reference materials). By the end of each session, and by the end of the school year, my students have increased their understanding, their grades, and, most importantly, their confidence! For Mathematics & Sciences, I have tutored in: -- Middle School Math & Science -- Algebra I & II -- Geometry -- Trigonometry -- Biology -- Chemistry -- Earth Science Aside from mathematics and sciences, I have assisted clients with writing and proof-reading their essays, studying for the SAT & ACT, and more. I have my MST for Adolescent Education from Pace University, my MA in Conservation Biology from Columbia University, and my BSc in Biology from SUNY University at Buffalo.
