Description
Meet gramps (aka Snooki). He was found wandering in Manhattan alone with fur so matted that it pulled his hair and needed to be shaved to the skin. To make matters worse, gramps is a senior at around 13 years old, and blind. Who could dump such a vulnerable little guy?
He was quickly pulled from a high kill shelter by Second Chance Rescue and is in a warm, loving foster home waiting for a forever home with someone that will spoil him for the rest of his days.
Gramps is house trained and does great with the other dog in the house (another small senior). He loves to be with a person as much as possible but, interestingly, does not have separation anxiety when left alone. He’s learning to walk on a leash but it’s scary when you can’t see where you’re going.
Since Gramps cant see, he’s pretty dependent on his human and needs a person who likes to be needed. In return for being his safety and his eyes, he will give you unconditional love and snuggles for the rest of his life (the vet estimates another 5-7 years).
If you want a low key dog who requires little outdoor time and is content to just be with his human, please consider Gramps. You can find him on the Second Chance Rescue site under the name “Snooki”.
