Skip the toxic chemicals and plastic bottles, and learn how to make make toilet bowl cleaners and shower steamers! These simple recipes are easy to follow and inexpensive, and most, if not all, of the ingredients can be purchased at Mimi's Zero Waste Market. Choose one or both of the following options: 1. Toilet Bowl Cleaners 2. Shower Steamers Ingredients and equipment will be provided. Similar to your shopping experience at this zero/low-waste market, participants are encouraged to bring their own ice cube trays for this fun event, but Mimi's will have a limited number available in their free jar library. You'll get to take home your own homemade products along with a recipe/instruction card to make more on your own! Cost: $5 for 12 shower steamers OR 12 toilet tabs, with the option of choosing both for a total of $10. We'd also encourage an additional suggested donation to Seattle Zero Waste for $5, $10, or $20 so we can continue hosting more of these DIY events! Due to time and space constraints, each person is limited to creating two dozen shower steamers or toilet tabs. The recipe and ingredients will be available for purchase in bulk if you wish to make more at home! Sign up and stop by between 1-4pm. Please note: There is a capacity limit of 4 participants at a time. Priority will be given to those who sign up in advance, but walk ups will be accepted on a space-available basis We look forward to seeing you there!
