For Immediate Release September 15, 2022 2022 Immigrant Integration Conference and Expo - “Embracing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” Saturday, October 15, 2022 The Immigration and American Citizenship (IACO) invites all community sectors to attend the 2022 Immigrant Integration Conference, Embracing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, to be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Center City Mall in Paterson, New Jersey. The event is free of charge and will be a day of action where elected officials, representatives from the public and private sectors, including government agencies, consular delegates, nonprofit organizations, businesses, professionals, and educators, will provide information and guidance to the immigrant community to facilitate their integration and inclusion into society. Come and hear from Leah Boustan, Professor of Economics at Princeton University, and author of the book Streets of Gold: America’s Untold Story of Immigrant Success, and from speakers with a proven track record in the fields of immigration law, workers’ rights, and social and civic engagement. Participants will have the opportunity to have a free-of-charge, individualized and confidential consultation with attorneys from the New Jersey Hispanic Bar Association. Immigrants are an integral and fundamental part of New Jersey, comprising more than 22% of the population. Nearly one in six U.S. citizens residing in New Jersey have at least one immigrant parent. In recognition that every ethnicity has served to build and strengthen this great state, and in thoughtful consideration that the integration of newcomers will enable us to create a path leading to more secure and vital communities, we encourage all of you to join us and be part of the integration process. IACO is a non-profit organization that opened its doors in 1999 and has represented thousands of immigrants in their adjustment of status in the United States. IACO’s mission is to orient and assist immigrants in their process of adjustment, integration, and development in this multicultural society. IACO is recognized by the Office of Legal Access Programs (OLAP) from the United States Department of Justice to represent low-income families before the Immigration and Naturalization Services (USCIS) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Please join us on October 15, 2022! The conference is free of charge. A pre-registration is not required but encouraged. Please register at www.immigrantintegrationday.org.
