The 3 R EXPERIENCE 3R Basketball is the next experience in basketball. Our national 3-on-3 league is a fun, competitive, organized environment for co-ed players ages 6-18. Players and parents love our emphasis on the modern game, positivity, and the 3 R’s: RUNS, REPS, REWARDS. 3R Basketball is designed for all skill levels, and we’re a great option for multi-sport athletes looking to continually get better and have fun at the same time. THREE OVER FIVE Why 3-on-3? And why co-ed? Simple…there’s little time in a traditional game with 10 players for individuals to learn hoops. The 3-on-3 concept allows athletes to develop their own game faster and more fluidly. Here are—you guessed it—3 big things to think about (by the way, remember 3-on-3 is an Olympic sport now): 1. THE POSITIONLESS GAME Basketball’s changed. “Big men” and “point guards” are a thing of the past. Being skilled all over the court—that’s the essential today. 3-on-3 prevents players from getting stuck “in a position,” forcing them to defend everywhere and become an offensive threat from anywhere. 2. SPACING IS WINNING 3-on-3 opens up the floor, giving each player the chance to learn how to create space for themselves and their teammates. If you follow pro hoops, you know the innovations in today’s game are heavily based on space. Without the clogged lane and traffic all around the perimeter of a 5-on-5 game, 3R players have more room to experiment and have fun. 3. IRON SHARPENS IRON We are inclusive. Period. Every player has something to offer and something to learn. When athletes play against diverse competition, their skills sharpen and their perspective broadens.
