Make a Pot with Concrete Geometric at Grand Central Market

Design and create your very own concrete pots with Concrete Geometric. Each pot will be casted using a special concrete blend that dries within minutes. No previous design or casting experience is required for this class. We will go over the process of casting concrete layers with silicone molds. The colors for the pieces will be earth inspired pigments. Use the tray as a sage/palo santo holder or for organizing other objects in your home or office. We will also go over a simple technique of adding drainage to your pot if you decide you want to make this a small planter set. Working time will be about 1hr and drying time is a few minutes. Your pieces will be ready to open by the end of the class. While your pieces dry you can shop around Grand Central Market for some yummy food or check out our selection of potted plants + kits for sale.Ages 8-16 must have an adult Pieces you will make: 1 Tray, 1 Pot Pigments being used for this class: Earth tones: Taupe, Clay, Sand, Walnut Provided in Class: Concrete, tools, sand paper, masks, aprons, latex gloves, molds Please try to arrive 10-15 minutes earlier- Give yourself enough time to find parking (there is parking in the Grand Central Market Parking garage) If you are running late, you can still join the class, just find a seat and wait for the instructor to finish so we can come to you after.
