“Talent is equally distributed, but opportunity is not”
There were so many great ideas shared at the first session of the Advancing Undergraduate Education Symposia Series on Thursday, 10/6, The Opportunity Gap | College Access & Recruitment. Join us on Thursday, 10/20 at 2 p.m at the CAI Hatcher Graduate Library Office (8th Floor, South Hatcher) for a post session coffee chat to flesh out ideas, actions, and partnerships to expose, support, and attract more students from local under-resourced schools and communities to the University.
We challenge you to take action on your individual step towards the solution, and invite others to join you in Advancing Undergraduate Education!
Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is required.

As colleges and universities focus attention on student enrollment and affordability, we know that for many students access to a quality education remains a privilege. The Advancing Undergraduate Education Symposia Series will explore the ways in which the University of Michigan can extend academic excellence while advancing equitable access and attainment to an undergraduate education.
Throughout the year the series will create spaces for conversations on collective work to cultivate the future of blended learning in higher education. Each session will explore the intersection of academic innovation, research and trends, emerging models and current practices with a panel of thought leaders, as well as include time for collaborative brainstorming with colleagues to tackle some of the access and opportunity challenges we face as an institution.
