Description

I’m a lead guitarist looking for a band to join. Decades of experience, looking to play with folks who know their instruments. I have a day job and I’m not looking to take over the world. I would like to find a serious classic or hard rock cover band gigging locally once a month or so. I know dozens of covers from beginning to end (not just riffs) and I take musicianship pretty seriously. Ask me for a list or sample. If you want to play originals they need to be good. I’d like to find folks to write with in the vein of Wolfmother, Sabbath, Jack White. Heavy, bluesy, raw attitude. But I’ll want to see a plan for web presence, streaming, networking, rehearsal schedule, gigging… I am not a novice and if I were to commit to a project I want it to be world-class in organization, sound and talent. I can commit to 3-4 rehearsals per month for the right project. I come ready to play with songs learned BEFOREHAND, so you don’t have to teach me shit. And I would expect the same from people I play with. I am a hard rock / classic rock / metal guy at heart. Black Sabbath, Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Beatles, The Who, Kinks. Also fluent in quite a few other styles… shoegaze, punk and the avant-garde all shake my tree. Think My Bloody Valentine, Nick Cave, Dead Kennedys, Wolfmother, Radiohead, REM, Robyn Hitchcock, Captain Beefheart and Napalm Death and you’re in the ballpark (a big ballpark!). Let’s face it, nobody needs a guitar player. We are a dime a dozen, we grow from trees and fill the trash bins. But how many learn the songs before coming to practice, focus on the music instead of drinking and smoking weed, really push themselves to be as good as they can be? I don’t do this for the money. It’s what I do. Drop me a line.
