I am looking for a loving home for Rye, who is approximately 7 years old. I believe she might be a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She enjoys going for walks and does well on a leash (walks beside you and if she is off her leash doesn’t go far ahead and looks back frequently to make sure you are following). I’ve also observed that she is nonchalant as we pass by other animals (rabbits, birds, cats, and even other dogs who are barking). She comes when her name is called, sits, and shakes hands. Rye absolutely loves to be petted. She has made progress but could use some more training when it comes to jumping up on people. She finds it comforting to go into her crate at night. She is a sweet girl. To my knowledge, she has mostly been around females and older children. I’m asking for $300, which includes her metal crate, cushion, and an additional dog bed.
