Description

ELEGANT, SPACIOUS, TWO-ROOM SUITE IN STUNNING NEIGHBORHOOD OF RESTORED VICTORIAN HOMES & LUSH GARDENS. LESS THAN 5 MINUTES ON FOOT TO EITHER THE GREEN OR ORANGE LINES; A SHORT T RIDE TO ANY WHERE IN BOSTON. ESPECIALLY CLOSE TO LONGWOOD MEDICAL AREA, SOUTH END AND DOWNTOWN BOSTON. ONE OCCUPANT ONLY for this suite, please. One small, well-trained dog considered. (We love dogs) Ten-foot ceilings, tall windows on the South and West flood the rooms with light. Sunset view of roof tops and Peter's Hill (The Arboretum) in the distance. Classy new tile bath with double shower, subway, and porcelain mosaic tile floor. Abundant storage in bathroom cabinetry and shelves. Hotel-style efficiency kitchen, with induction cooktop, refrigerator, sink, versatile microwave. A deep porch, framed by pairs of doric columns, wraps around most of the house. Landscaped yard extends so far behind the house you can almost get lost in it. KOI POND with waterfalls with brilliantly colored koi and gold fish darting up to the surface. Winding dry-built, flat-stone retaining wall separates the deep back yard into two tiers, with stone steps between them. Get lost among the perennial beds, settle down in a chaise on one of the patios with your book or lap top -- yes, wifi in the yard. Thirteen fruit-bearing trees and shrubs (quince, blueberry, black berry, goose berry, raspberry, a cherry tree, two peach trees, a persimmon, four types of apple trees and a pear); three varieties of grapes growing on a tall pergola beside the carriage house. It's a paradise in the city. All this is only a few minutes from downtown Boston by T or bike along bike path a block from us. We are located one block from the 39 Bus to the medical area (about a ten minute ride) and about a six minute walk to the Green Street Subway Station on the Orange Line. We are also a ten-minute walk to the Arboretum and Jamaica Pond! A couple of minutes to banks, a pharmacy, hardware stores, post office, copy center, bike store, hair salons, art galleries, vintage clothing shops, Whole Foods, Happy's Market, lots of gourmet restaurants and other shopping. Off street parking may be negotiable, but really you don't need it, because on street parking is free and unrestricted here. I look forward to hearing from you. inquiry about pricing
