Looking for Aircraft mechanic/Certified Flight Instructor

Greetings, My name is Chris, I live in Manassas and through the army certification program, I am awarded $4000/year to train towards my pilot's license. I saved a bit of money and bought a 1968 Cessna 150H. It's parked at Manassas airport. I've already dropped thousands of dollars into fixing it up and getting it to pass its annual. But it's so difficult to have a mechanic at the airport even look at it without charging an arm and a leg. Currently, it needs its radio dial tightened (but it requires a special tool I believe to tighten). The school I'm a student with won't let me train in it because it doesn't have log books older than 2017. So I am hoping to find a CFI to help me log some hours together on this plane toward my license. I'm looking for a CFI that also can also teach me some mechanical tips and help me.
