Description
This is our sweet girl Dakota. We have had her for over a year now and been through many things together. We got her originally so that our dog could have a friend. They do "play" sometimes, but Dakota is bigger than her and always plays too rough (biting, etc). She also frequently starts fights with our other dog, leaving our smaller dog very injured. We've tried training, which we thought was helping but the most recent fight two days ago was the worst of all. Unfortunately, we cannot keep risking our other dog's life despite how much we love Dakota.
It really pains us to do this because she really is such a good dog. We have two cats that she has never even batted an eye at, but she just does not like other dogs. She loves people so much, she'll flop down in front of you for belly rubs all the time. She loves car rides and sleeping on her raised bed that we gave her that used to be a little kid's bed (this bed will be included!). She loves the smallest of chew toys, despite all the big ones we've gotten her, she prefers the smaller ones. We really want her to go to a loving home that can focus their time on just her as the only dog. Cats, as I mentioned she would be perfectly fine living with. She's a protector of her pack and always barks at anyone in our alley coming too close to the fence, but she welcomes every new person to our home with a wagging tail and a smile. She was spayed when we first got her so she's all healed up now. We've watched her grow from a shelter dog that didn't know what to do with toys and treats, to a playful, obedient girl with a big personality. She knows sit, stay, lay down and shake on both paws. Please let us know if you are interested.
