Looking for roofer to fill in temporarily for a few months while my regular guy gets new knees. If you like to do small repairs all over the bay area and make good money, this may be for you. We don't do whole roofs or huge jobs. Only small repairs that 1 or 2 people can handle and can be finished in 1 day or less. We get calls from all over Tampa Bay from people looking for cheap roof repairs. We go to the house, give them an estimate, and in 9 out of 10 estimates we get the job. Its up to you if we do the job on the spot or come back. Requirements: Please make sure you read this so you don't waste your time. No background checks. We all make mistakes, we learn, we move on. Must have: Vehicle. Good ladder. Basic tools. Many years of fixing roofs. Be drama free. When I say experienced, I mean real experience, NOT "well, I helped my neighbor fix his roof" or "I worked on a roof for 2 years" or "I'm good with construction and I can learn fast " this won't work. A master roofer will ask you some trick questions to see if you really know the work. You must know how to find and fix leaks. Don't waste your time if you can't easily and quickly fix small roof problems. Salary: You can choose $40 per hour for the time worked. For example, If the repair takes 4 hours, you get $160 in cash same day. Or You can choose to keep a percentage of all repairs. You can keep 60% of all repairs. For example, you do a 4 hour repair and the customer is charged $600, you keep $360 in cash, same day. We can do 2 or 3 repairs in one day sometimes. Whatever you decide, you must stay with that. Note: Although it's very rare, 1 or 2 times in a year, a customer cannot send payment to us for 1 or 2 days. Please understand this hardly ever happens, but it does happen. Please Do not be the type that falls to the ground and starts crying. Some roofers have the attitude of: "let's do the repair and get paid, if we have to come back because its still leaking, we will". NO WAY. We will do quality work and do it right the first time even if we have to stay longer. We lose money coming back a second time. If you think this may be for you, drop me an text. Please make sure you understand everything in the ad before texting and you are: 1) You need to very experienced in fixing roof problems. 2) You must have transportation. 3) You understand that we get calls from all over, we go to the house, give an estimate, and be ready to make money. It will take a week to get started. Work when you want. The more jobs you take, the more you make. 4) The work varies. Some days we get no calls some days we get a lot. You still make good money. 5) Please be drama free. Take a day off off whenever you want, but if we have a repair scheduled, don't call in and try to change it. If you have a problem with calling in or not making it to a job on time, they will stop giving you work without notice. 6) Gig is good for at least a few months. 7) Text only....this number is for texting only. It goes to my lap top. Once text, we can call on a regular line. 8) If you get set off easily when things upset you, I wish you gods speed with what you do, but please don't respond to this ad. As in any business, we deal with people and doing a service for people. There will be times when things or customers upset us, or things don't go our way. I need someone who is level headed and don'-t blow their cookies when they get pissed for some reason. If you have these issues, I'm sorry, but we can't have that here.. 9) please don't be constantly broke. You will have expenses when you work. You need to be able to buy what you need...drinks, food, gas without relying on someone else. Dont get me wrong, many times im low on cash. However, if your working on a repair and you need a bundle of shingles or a can of bull, and I'm not there. We don't ask the customer. They ate going to they have crack heads working on their roof. I can't blame them. There is no reason why a grown adult can't fund a $20 bill in their pocket unless there is a bigger problem. . If everything works out, we may expand and keep you.
