Join us in downtown Millbury for an evening of personal growth featuring a plant repotting workshop with T.A.J. Tropical & Trinkets, guest speaker Laura Cabral sharing tips for a better work/life balance, and cupcakes from Timothy Jay Sweets! All attendees will also receive 10% at T.A.J. Tropical & Trinkets for shopping after class - need we say more?! This event is free for members, $40 for non-members & guests. COVID Policy: Masks are not required for anyone vaccinated (though feel free to wear one if you're more comfortable that way); we ask that our unvaccinated friends continue to wear masks. T.A.J. Tropicals & Trinkets, our host! T.A.J. specializes in rare plants and finding the perfect new roommate for your home, office or dorm. They like to say they have a little something for everyone from your top notch collectors to your newbies in the plant world. They believe in providing a space for everyone to enjoy. Tiana Diaz, the shop owner, will lead us in a repotting workshop with some beautiful pothos plants that will soon grace your home, full of good energy! Laura Cabral, our presenter! Licensed Mental Health Counselor | Board Certified Music Therapist Laura holds a bachelor's degree in Music Therapy and master's degree in Counseling Psychology, both from Anna Maria college. She started working as a Hospice Music Therapist at New Healthcare Center. She also worked at Community Healthlink, starting as an In-Home Therapist before being promoted to Director of In-Home Therapy and Therapeutic Mentoring. Currently, She is the Bridge Program Coordinator for Gardner High School which is a program that works to transition students back to their normal school schedule after extended absence mainly due to mental health concerns. She also recently opened a part time private practice called Healing’s Edge Therapy Services providing outpatient psychotherapy and music therapy to children, adults, and families. As a young professional, She has been very grateful to opportunities the Worcester area has to offer and is excited to be able to continue serving the mental health needs of our community. Laura is going to share her work journey experience with us, as well as techniques she has used to improve her work/life balance!
