This Halloween Edition Children's Self Defense Class is all about fun for the participants and all about scares for anyone who tries to mess with them. Participants can dress up in their favorite costume, collect plenty of treats and learn how to be safe in this class! As a father of two young children and as a former Crime Analyst and Child Protective Investigator with the State of Florida, I know how important it is to keep our children safe. I have witnessed the consequences of predators targeting and abusing children. I understand that safety from criminals can be a complicated discussion for parents and children and that children don't always take in what we tell them. That is why we have developed Kidz Tough. Kidz Tough - is a 60-minute parent/child interactive class designed to open up the dialog of safety between the child and parent. This class will help children ages 5-10 develop their own plan on how to react to an untrusted, or even a trusted adult in various dangerous situations. Students won't be taught complicated martial arts techniques that they are unlikely to apply in a real life attack, but instead will learn simple and realistic self defense skills that can be used to respond to and escape from an attempted abduction or dangerous situation. The class is conducted in a fun and safe environment where the child and parent can work together to increase their safety.
