help!! kitten to young!!

A lady was giving away kittens at the playground and we impulsively took one and now I am really reconsidering because I am going to feel really bad leaving it at the house all day while I’m at work. I was also researching and I think that the kitten is too young to be away from her mom in the first place so I don’t know why the lady was giving them away…. I feel really guilty and bad so am looking for someone who has time and preferably another cat to rehome kitten too. I think the kitten is 6 weeks old. Very tiny ! Eating wet food. We have only had her for a few hours I just don’t think it was the right thing to do.
