The recent U.S. Supreme Court decision in Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization eliminated the fundamental right to an abortion, guaranteed nearly fifty years ago in the infamous Roe v. Wade decision of 1973. The Dobbs ruling has sweeping repercussions for women’s health care and reproductive justice. It places in peril religious freedom and other fundamental rights not explicitly enumerated in the U.S. Constitution, including rights of liberty, privacy, and autonomy.
