Kyle "K. Edward" Smith is a heavy metal drummer-turned folk songwriter hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Smith began recording and releasing solo material in 2019, voraciously experimenting with blending the down-to-earth relatability of indie folk songs and ideas from the musical margins. The resulting mix is a world of alt-Americana sounds all his own. In July 2022 Smith embarked on his first regional tour - "The Echoes of Summer Tour" - with a mix of solo, acoustic trio, and full band performances across the Midwest. Along with touring, Smith is currently back in the studio wrapping up production on an avant-garde film score set for public release in late 2022 in partnership with Right Brain Records.
