Tule helps farmers make irrigation decisions, maximize production and more efficiently manage natural resources. Our field technicians install our main product - a proprietary research-based sensor - into farm fields, vineyards and orchards throughout the state of California. The sensor measures the water use and water stress of the plants. This position is for a part-time field technician to install, repair and maintain Tule sensors in the Sacramento Valley & Northern San Joaquin Valley territory. At times, assigned territories overlap and two technicians may collaborate on a project. The ideal candidate lives within the Sacramento-Stockton region and has a secure location like a garage or backyard to store spare parts and must possess a safe, presentable & reliable pickup truck (4x4 preferred) until a company vehicle is provided. A clean driving record is a must. This role requires both mechanical & electrical troubleshooting abilities, requires close attention to detailed instructions and the ability to use mobile phone apps as the central means of communication with the rest of the team. Proficiency with the skilled use of hand tools, 12 volt power tools and electrical testing equipment is required as is the ability to safely climb ladders and lift & lower heavy tower segments.
