Bonhams Skinner is seeking a Senior Photographer to manage a team and perform all aspects of studio and onsite photography for online catalogues, the website, and all printed and digital promotional material. This also includes post-process photoshop work, color corrections, file management & uploads to the company database, studio equipment management, property movement, etc. We are looking for a team player who can oversee and facilitate a robust production schedule and adhere to tight and constantly changing deadlines. You will work closely with the Head of Photography, New York to ensure that the team produces beautiful catalogues photography in a high volume environment. Based in Massachusetts, Bonhams Skinner holds around 80 sales a year in 20 collecting categories including Americana, Fine Art and Collectibles, and Wine, and ranging from tribal art to contemporary paintings. Responsibilities Shooting • Shoot for catalogs, advertising and website • In studio in Marlborough and Boston and offsite locations as required • Safely handle property on and off set • Follow established best practices, while meeting productivity targets • Review photographs for quality & consistency • Ensure photography deadlines are met Technical • Maintain set and equipment • Review color proofs as necessary. Administrative • Process and manage files • Attach files to company database • Create and maintain photo lists • •Schedule photography with specialist departments and meet deadlines • •Manage team and freelancers (whenever necessary) In addition to the tasks and responsibilities listed, you may be required to perform other duties as assigned by your Manager.   Key Skills & Attributes • 3 to 5 years of studio experience • Strong still life portfolio that shows compositional and technical ability • Ability to photography a varying type of property • Experience in Phase One digital capture and Canon cameras Current equipment is Nikon • Strong experience in studio lighting techniques and catalog photography • Strong Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop • Strong color correction and file management abilities • Must be proficient on a Mac platform • Strong organization and problem-resolution skills • Excellent communication skills, and ability to interact with a variety of personalities. • Ability to work under pressure & handle multiple deadlines • Ability to perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling and lifting items using proper lifting/moving techniques -- up to 30 lbs. Ability to walk up & down stairs throughout the workday Salary commensurate with experience.
