Able General Contracting is a Pierce County General Contractor specializing in residential restoration repair and light commercial tenant improvements. We have a handy man division as well! All carpenter positions work up to 40 hours per week, with occasional opportunities for overtime. It is expected that you are ready to work with your “bags on” at the scheduled start time. Most job sites start at 7:30am Monday through Friday. Physical Requirements: You should be experienced in all aspects of construction, be comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, heights, as well as with power tools and equipment. You should be in good physical condition and have the ability to accomplish all assigned tasks. Working conditions include being outside in all types of weather and inside of customer’s homes and businesses. This position requires physical skills, such as standing, walking, climbing, lifting and carrying, near acuity and manual dexterity. Applicable PPE (personal protection equipment) such as steel toe boots/shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, etc. must be worn on site. We would prefer the applicant to have 5 years of experience in handy man or home building related fields. Job Requirements: Must be reliable and prompt, with a professional appearance and demeanor. Must take direction and work well in a team environment, as well as ability to work independently. Must be able to think on your feet to solve problems quickly and effectively. Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check. Must be fluent in English Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must have a dependable vehicle with insurance.
