Singer looking to start a 50’s style rock n’ roll project

Hello, my name is Tony! I’m looking to start a project that has a similar feel to Elvis’ early band with Scotty Moore, D.J. Fontana, and Bill Black. I have a pop and r&b background and I’m looking to find out how it sounds to mesh the two sounds. I think it would be a lot of fun to play some older songs, write some some of our own, and also spin songs from other decades into this style and energy.
