Description
The Ground Worker is responsible for:
· Assist aerial workers and other ground crewmembers in all aspects of tree care and removal.
· Keep the job site safe & organized, drag & chip brush, rake & clean up the jobsite.
· Be able to work with and without supervision.
· Drive Trucks with trailers, including daily safety inspection before and after operating.
· Operate equipment including chainsaw, chipper, skid steer, leaf blower etc. including periodic maintenance/repairs.
· Perform traffic and pedestrian control, and other relative duties as operationally necessary.
The Ideal candidate will:
· Be physically fit, able to bend and lift at least 50lbs.
· Have work experience with physical labor such as landscaping, farming, logging, construction ect. Experience with Equipment, chainsaws, truck/trailer driving and backing skills is a plus.
· Maintain a valid Driver's License.
· Must know how to drive a stick-shift.
Work Schedule:
· Regular work week is Monday through Friday with some Saturdays, Sundays off. Each work day is usually 6-8 hours in length.
· Start time is 7am but may change due to business needs and weather. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
· Emergency work is sometimes required and may cause a deviation from our regular schedule, participation is encouraged.
Salary - average daily $140
