ICNC/The Hatchery is currently recruiting for our 3-day Intro to Food & Beverage Manufacturing Workshop Series with PepsiCo and Griffith Foods. Attendees must be available to attend all three workshops in order to participate. The workshop agendas are as followed: • Wednesday, October 12th from 3pm – 5pm: Intro to Food & Beverage Manufacturing Careers at The Hatchery • Wednesday, October 26th from 3pm – 5pm: HR Tips & Tricks plus individual resume review and coaching at The Hatchery • Wednesday, November 2nd from 9am – 2pm: Onsite PepsiCo Tour at their 51st Production Site – charter bus from The Hatchery will be provided We will provide all attendees transit assistance (Ventra or Gas Gift Card), free online ServSafe Food Handler training, resume support, and personal items for class like backpacks, pens, and paper. Food and beverages will also be provided at all workshops. Please note, PepsiCo does require all candidates to complete a drug screening and background check. I’ve been working hard with their HR Department to change some of their policies and procedures, but big changes will take time. In the meantime, here is PepsiCo’s current background check protocol: PepsiCo has no automatic disqualifiers or required waiting periods with respect to criminal history occurrences. Rather, once a conditional offer of employment is made, we individually assess each candidate’s background check results and any information the candidate wants to submit for consideration, considering several factors in accordance with applicable law, to determine whether the candidate is eligible or ineligible for the job sought. * Griffith Foods has similar policies and procedures as well.
