Looking for band mates for the following concept: Dance-able funk feel Spacious Ambient Minimalist in terms of arrangements Long dance tunes rather than short pop songs Collaborative writing/arranging seems likely Snappy attire/style Think: Atmosphere Loops may work. Synth may work. 60's organ sounds would be great. Any keys would be great. Snappy drummer would be great. Punchy bass would be great. A second guitar would be great (I play guitar also). A second vocal would be great (I can sing also). A smoke machine would be excellent and make us sound better ;). Pink Floyd meets Prince? Sade for simpletons? Mellower Fela Kuti? The Logic: Low stress. Less work that producing a cover band act that, lets face it, is being done by everyone else and their dog already, and being done well. Opportunity to create fresh music. Opportunity to explore musical textures within dance grooves. When people dance, venue owners LOVE it it for obvious reasons = more gigs. Hit me up, and if you can include a link or two, all the better. No age or other restrictions, but a regular practice commitment is probably a good idea. Once a week? Twice a month? You tell me.
