PAID ($14/hr.) -Wildland Firefighter Certification Course in Redmond from October 24th - October 28th (8:30 - 4:30). Must be between the ages of 17 - 26. Disclaimer: This is only a training that includes the entry level classes required to become a wildland firefighter, it is not a job with a wildland firefighting company. Training and course certifications provided by the Oregon Department of Forestry. Interviews with local wildland firefighter companies during the course but no commitment required. $350 boot stipend for anyone that completes the course and gets hired as a wildland firefighter.
