Maybe because: • Iran is a member of OPEC and produces/exports crude. • Iran imports a billion dollars of American technology annually. • Iran probably has a nuclear missile capable of destroying the west coast. • Iran enjoys extremely good relations with Russia, and a war with Iran would be perceived as a war with Russia.
