A&A Awnings & Storm Shutters is a well-established company located in Chesapeake, VA seeking to hire experienced hard working and reliable Awning/Canopy/Storm Shutter installers. The candidate must be a self-motivated individual who can function well in a fast pace environment, must have the ability to document all information on customer job/service tickets. The candidate must have the ability to represent our installation/service department professionally that is the core of the company’s reputation. Understanding of installation and retrofit of residential and commercial Awnings/Canopies/Storm Shutters plus any additional construction experience is appreciated. The chosen candidate must possess good mechanical ability, general electrical and construction knowledge, ability to use hand tools safely and efficiently and the ability to take instructions. We have a great team-oriented environment, competitive wages, paid holidays, vacation, and medical benefits Description: - Comfortable working on ladders up & down all day - Ability to work outside in the weather elements - Install Awnings/Canopies/Storm Shutters safely and efficiently - lifting equipment in excess of 75 pounds is occasionally required, but in tandem with other installer’s. - Have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record - Ability to drive and maneuver install truck and up to 20ft trailer - Have a clean criminal history record - Have 1 to 4 years of construction/installation experience - Communicate, both orally and in writing with clients and staff - Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner; job tickets - Complete jobs in allotted time frame effectively and efficiently - Ability to diagnose issues and perform service work/repairs as required - The ability to use wide variety of power tools including but not limited to drills, saws, & other cutting tools - Must have own tools or the means to acquire them - Maintain a neat and clean installation vehicle at all times - Hours are 8 hours per day, 5 days a week. Occasional overtime is required - Willing to travel out of town often and okay with occasional overnight trips - Love what they do, are passionate about customer service, quality work and meeting the needs of customers
