“Slowcore Chet Baker Indie Rock”

Description

Anyone want to get together and write some songs? I play guitar/piano, I sing and write lyrics as well and have a lot of good pieces of songs. I’m 33, decent jam space 30-minutes northeast of Atlanta, good gear, and limited recording capabilities. I’d like to do something with some slowcore influences and simple song-writer structures. I write “sad, but pretty” stuff and really enjoy complex harmony and counterpoint. Would be awesome to find a writing partner with a good vision and an interesting musical identity. If you have the gear and ear for unique ambient textures and very high production standards, I’d be super interested in talking. Some influences: Death Cab (particularly We Have the Facts) Andy Shauf Chet Baker Radiohead Pedro the Lion Conor Oberst/Bright Eyes Mark Kozelek/Sun Kil Moon Robin Guthrie Phoebe Bridgers Sigur Ros Sufjan Stevens Bjork Bon Iver I also like a lot of shoegaze, folk, alt-country, and neoclassical music, and wouldn’t mind if some of those influences were incorporated. Huge film-score buff—cinematic stuff makes me happy. Reach out with your thoughts and I’ll hit you up if I think we might mesh.
