Seeeking drummer for experimental band

Looking for a skilled or experienced drummer to join an experimental band in rock formation. The band comprises members who have been active in music for 20 years including DIY punk circuits, film scores, releases on independent labels, European tours, and hired-gun support for other artists. You would pick up at learning ~40 minutes of recorded material. You have some freedom to interpret, but we would like to retain the same feel and energy. After getting familiar with the current songs, you would play a role in composing new material. Expected time commitment: * Weekly rehearsals * Availability for 1 - 2 local gigs per month * Condensed weekends of out of town shows 2 - 4 times per year * At least 1 extended tour per year Taste/style compatibility: * Jazz sensibilities * You have power and know how/when to use it. * Appropriately busy. Think Dennis Davis. * You have a range of musical tastes that you can apply to your playing. * Some of your favorite styles of music include Krautrock, Jazz, Psychedelic rock, Hip-hop, Funk, Soul, Disco, Dance/electronic, Avant-garde, Punk, Classical, Musique concrète, noise. We would NOT be a good fit if: * You have a large drum set * You are a dude that takes your shirt off during practice or shows * Your only styles are punk or metal * You’re unvaccinated, believe in conspiracy theories or pseudoscience. More than a decade of experience is not a prerequisite. If you’re a skilled drummer that’s professional, and believe you would be a good fit, we’d love to hear from you.
