Bristol Construction Services, LLC is seeking a Laborer in our Kapolei, HI location. The Laborer supports client needs by performing manual labor in support of projects. Major Responsibilities: Perform manual labor including operating small hand tools and power tools. Perform heavy labor such as carrying and lifting materials and other activities. Promote safe work practices and adhere to company and client safety policies and procedures for work performed, including proper hazard recognition and mitigation of tasks. Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures and accept accountability for safe work practices. Routinely perform safety and productivity observations; shop, field, and vehicle inspections. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent.  Required Knowledge or Skills: Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record. Ability to work well with others in an environment that includes harsh weather conditions, and diversified personalities. Ability to communicate effectively with fellow workers. Ability to clearly speak, write, read and understand the English language. Knowledge of and ability to follow Bristol client safety programs and regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed. Ability to plan and organize workload. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and competing demands simultaneously. Ability to establish and maintain a rapport and strong working relationship with co-workers and client representatives. Ability to relate to and work with personnel in all levels of an organization required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud. The position may involve working with potentially hazardous materials and wastes. Hard-toe safety footwear is required at all times while working. Physical Demands: Medium physical workload. The employee must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as reading. Also required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment. Specific physical requirements include, but are not limited to, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions. The worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions, with noise sufficient to cause the worker to shout. The worker is subject to a variety of physical conditions – proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electric current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat, or exposure to chemicals. The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions – fumes, odors, dust, mist, gases, or poor ventilation.
