Possible temporary help w/dog

Sometimes, life deals us a situation we don't expect and as a result, don't know quite how to handle. Maybe it's illness of a parent or spouse, a job change, a break-up, etc. Specifically, I think I might be able to offer temporary help with a furbaby...to avoid giving up him or her permanently. I'm a resident (house) in a quiet community near the mall, have no other pets, so whether it's for a few days or even a few weeks, I want to at least try. My back yard is fenced, but..ideally, he/she would be potty trained and comfortable inside...except when going for walks around the Park or running errands. I'm a senior guy, have no other pets at the present time, and sometimes, it's nice to offer help to someone less fortunate. I would need nothing..other than a "thank you"...along with food brands, preferences and an emergency phone number to contact you. BUT...for anyone SO cynical you think that no one would extend a hand of kindness and everyone on C/L is a scammer, please ignore this. Hopefully, I can help someone, offer a simple kindness...plus...your furbaby will, in return for being well cared for, appreciate lots of attention, and also be good company. I should add that I'm now retired so, have considerable flexible time to spend wit him/her.
