Rebuild fence line - bid your MAXIMUM
Jobs
481 Cypress AVE near Cabrillo Highway, Moss Beach CA
Description
Hello. Do you have experience with fence-building? We want to replace an existing straight line of fence. The current fence is made up of about 75 dog eared panels that are 6 feet high and roughly 8 or 9 posts. County parcel map shows the fence line is 91.61’. We want to find handy person(s) to tear down, haul away, replace posts and panels and reconnect new fence to existing fence lines at the corners. We also want to make it so that the fence is at least 8 feet tall rather than 6 feet. One side of the existing fence faces an open lot and has ivy growing on it or has weeds (not very tall) growing right up against it that you may have to sort of bushwhack your way through. The other side of the fence has important plants that cannot be damaged as part of the job (part of the agreement has to be that you agree to replace/reimburse for any plants that are damaged during the job). You can come and make a final bid after seeing it in person. However, in order to be considered, we need you to first contact us by e-mail with the *** absolute maximum *** you would charge us, how many people are in your crew if more than just you, and how long you think the job will take. Your final bid when you come and see it cannot be higher than the amount you quote us via Craigslist e-mail (we will move onto the next bidder immediately if your bid exceeds your maximum.) We will be inviting about 3-4 Craigslist bidders to see the job in person to give final and actual bids, and then decide between those bids. Once we're texting, I can send you pictures of the fence and you can even revise your max bid before even coming. Assume that we will be providing all building materials. We just want the quote for your labor. We may arrange to have you pick up the materials as well and reimburse you extra, but that should be a separate bid. Even if we don’t have you pick up and supply the materials, we will need you to tell us a complete list of materials and supplies for us to pick up for the job. A couple other things about the job: you will need to text us a photo ID drivers license before being invited onto the property. There is a dog on the property, and so we will need to coordinate at all times when you will be on site to ensure the dog is safely inside. We cannot be responsible for your tools if you leave them onsite at our property. We recommend you take your tools home with you each night. The work has to be continuous each day until it's done, with at least 4 hours put in per day while the job is ongoing (we can't have someone come by to just do 1-2 hours of work at a time and come back only every other day). Once you have started and the fence is torn down, you will need to continue the job each day until it’s done, except for days where there is rain. Also, we are sorry, but there is no bathroom available for you on the site for the comfort of some of the older residents. The nearest bathroom is the gas station about 2 blocks away. If you have read this far, please include the words "fence, teardown, haul-away, rebuild, max" in the subject line of your email. Please also include your mobile number for text messaging for us to get back to you. If this all sounds OK to you, please contact us with your MAXIMUM bid.
