Description

Topic: Sibling Struggles: The Impact of Adoption and Foster Care on All Your Children Do you feel like you are always caught in the middle of your children's conflicts and squabbles? Are you tired of playing the role of referee and judge? Are you not sure how to help your previously adopted or biological children deal with the impact adoption or fostering has had on them personally? Have you come to the realization that parent’s don’t foster or adopt; families foster or adopt? Adoption or foster care can take a toll on the other children in your home. This workshop will help to normalize what you and your children might be going through and equip you for what’s ahead. In learning how to navigate sibling difficulties we will begin to explore how you can use these challenges as opportunities for growth. Speaker: Whitney White, MEd, LPC, DCC | International Education Counselor, Lifeline Children’s Services As International Education Counselor at Lifeline Children’s Services, Whitney has developed training curriculum for the ministry, provided counseling and education to adoptive families, and trained caregivers around the world in international children’s home settings.
