Learn the basics of upgrading toy costume weapons, wands, and other props for use in cosplay or holiday costumes! The class will focus primarily on applying a metallic paint job to such items, with some time dedicated to working with air dried clay such as Model Magic. Participants are optionally welcome to bring a small toy item of their own to paint. This class will be hosted by Big Spring High School student Aedan Griffith. You may possibly recognize Aedan from his work designing the key props for the "Secret Garden" production at the Carlisle Regional Performing Arts Center earlier this year. He's also created complete custom Wookie and Transformers costumes for community events, and interned in the artists alley of the 2021 New York City Comic Con.
