Correct Tree Professionals is a 15-yr-old business specializing in proper tree trimming and tree removal but also performs re-sodding, re-planting and grading in addition to other services requested by homeowners and businesses. Correct Tree Professionals has consistently been rated as the top tree trimming and removal service in the Wichita area by “Kansas’s Best”. We are looking to add a Groundsperson to our team. The Groundsperson is a skilled laborer whose duties are vital to safety, quality, and overall production. This position is directly supervised and trained by the Owner in all areas of ground operations. A successful and responsible applicant that shows aptitude and interest can look forward to promotion to Foreman, and/or training and promotion to Climber, which would include training in proper tree trimming techniques, as well as climbing safety procedures. During hot summer hours, in order to avoid the heat of the day, employees can expect to start work early - 5:30 or 6:00 AM. Responsibilities • Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are well maintained and accounted for prior to and after completion of each job; • Aid climber with appropriate tools and safety protocols; • Remove limbs and debris to disposal area (this includes raking and basic yard cleanup); • Operate hand equipment including but not limited to chainsaws, rakes and blowers; • Maintain a high level of quality in all work performed. Qualifications • Must be at least 18 years old. • Must have valid Driver’s License. • Ability to listen, follow directions, and be safety conscious. • Must be conscientious and consistently arrive to jobsite on time and ready to work. • Ability to complete labor-intensive work outdoors with exposure to a variety of weather conditions including extreme heat and cold. • Ability to navigate on uneven terrain, stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
