Rehoming Coco
Meet Coco! We need to rehome our approximately 3 year old catahoula? Lab mix Coco. She is very sweet but we got a kitten and she cannot cohabitate with cats. We have had her for about 2 years. She is very patient with kids. She plays well with our older dog but does tire her out. She hasn’t been vicious toward the cat, but won’t stop chasing her and barking at her, our other dog is getting with the program, Coco is not. We know she will thrive in a cat free household. She is housebroken, no potty issues. She does chew on things if she gets bored enough so is kennel trained. We kennel her at night and if left alone in the house. She is protective of her people so barks at strangers. We have never seen her snap at anyone. She raises the alarm, and then licks them and is all friendly. :) She has a hard time stopping the barking once she gets going so we put a vibration bark collar on her. She knows basic commands like sit, come, stay, down and shake. She can have trouble with these if distracted but has become pretty consistent overall. She occasionally still jumps on us when excited so we are still working on “off”. She is a chunky monkey at about 60 pounds. I always feel safe with her. We don’t need a rehoming fee but would want to meet you and know that she is going to go to a good home. All of her stuff would come with her. Her food, a few months of meds, her harness, leash and her favorite toys. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Let us know if you want to meet Coco.
