Job Description: Get Out the Vote Canvasser The Canvasser’s job is to contact voters during Get Out the Vote by knocking on doors and reminding voters to turn in their ballots, informing them on voting information, and making sure they have a plan for election day. Duties & Responsibilities Door-to-door canvassing in residential areas Accurate tracking of voter contact data on a daily basis Qualifications The canvasser position is an entry-level position. No experience with canvassing is necessary. Successful applicants, however, will have the following characteristics: ● Punctual and reliable ● Good communication skills ● Outgoing personality ● Enjoys meeting and talking to people ● Energetic and enthusiastic ● Committed to advancing voting and is passionate about civic participation ● Terms of Employment ● Canvassers' start of hire will be from October 1, 2020- November 8, 2020 ● (Election Day) ● Canvassers with interest and demonstrated capacity will also have the ● opportunity for promotion to leadership positions on our canvass team.
