Avoid the Meadows in Nappanee like the plague. reasons... 1) in the 5+ years I have live here UMH has gone through NUMEROUS managers. Which means they are imcompetent to pick management for shit. 2) Also...good luck trying to talk to anyone in the office. they are either NOT there or ignoring calls. I am visual distance from office. Literally called up there and watch the "manager ignore the call and smoke her cigarette, fyi..never did talk to them...management left 15 min late. when I drive by, IF they are AT the office-they are outside smoking, ignoring everyone!! ***Seriously, do better job screening for management... the last 3 (including this one) you brought in couldnt manage their way out of a wet BROKEN paper bag... 3)rent goes up almost every 1-2 years. rents gone up 4 times since I lived here (been here 5+ years) 4)MAINTENANCE IS CLUE LESS. Had a water issue... maintenance stood outside my house for 45 min...trying to figure out where the water comes from. then eventually told me to call water company and left..... 5) speaking of water... get ready to have your water turned off randomly every month...sometimes no warning... which is what promted me to write this.. Management says water would be shut of at 4.... its 330... and I cant flush toilet.. see what I mean by incompetent management. Trust me $800+ (to rent) or...$1000+ (to buy)...NOT WORTH IT HERE!! TAKE your hard earned money elsewhere Im about to walk away from my house I was buying... to hell with consequences. I am not the only one... I know bout 10-15 "home buyers" about to walk away from here! If you want good, affordable DEPENDABLE housing !!! DO ANYTHING BUT apply to the meadows. I hear there room at the dumpster at mcdonalds... STILL BETTER THAN UMH AND THE MEADOWS!!!!
