Sales Staff needed 4 T-shirt vendor @ NY Comic Convention, Oct. 6-9 (Javitz Center Convention Center) We are dealing with a staff loss for the convention because a few folks lied about their vaccination and the Javitz Center staff will not permit them to work the event. I am looking to hire 2 more people to assist our supervisors on-site with the sales and operation of our t-shirt booth at the NY Comic Convention during the dates October 6-9, 2022. The Comic Con will be held at the Location: Javitz Center Convention Center, 1655 W 34th St, New York, NY 10001 SHOW HOURS THURSDAY October 06 -- 10 AM - 7 PM FRIDAY October 07-- 10 AM - 7 PM SATURDAY October 08 -- 10 AM - 7 PM SUNDAY October 9 -- 10 AM - 5 PM -breakdown. we will finish between 10-11 pm **VIP's get onto the show floor 30 Minutes before regular attendees on Saturday & Sunday!** The new hires will assist with the sales, set-up and breakdown of our booth. Experience in sales is preferred but i will train staff if i find you have excellent communication skills. I require people with the gift of gab, I will teach you how to sell. I also need the applicant to.... -take direction from supervisors, we work as a team. -self-motivated, friendly, with a good mix of people skills -must have the ability to think on their feet with effective communication skills. -simple math is required without the aid of a cellphone calculator. -can work without looking at their cellphone every 5 minutes, your cellphone will be shut off. The applicant will be required to assist customers, keep their station clean and orderly, assist co-workers and help with loss prevention, etc. The job description includes any other task required to run a successful booth within the convention. The pay is $16.00 to $18.00 cash per hour plus a bonus. I reward hard work, employees who exceed our expectations are paid more than weaker employees. A bonus will be paid to anyone working the entire weekend. Other benefits include 40% off any merchandise you wish to purchase on Sunday from our booth. We ask that you pack a lunch, snacks & water, but a set time to eat will be determined by the crowd. Dress code= A pair of comfortable shoes and appropriate attire (t-shirt/golf shirt and long pants). All applicants will receive an exhibitors pass which will allow you to enjoy the after hours activities. All new hires will be instructed by e.mail on time, set-up, etc. Any successful hire will be given the first choice of working with our team at all upcoming New York City and NJ area events.
