Immediate Opportunity for Experienced Technical Repair Person Needed (Orlando) Hollywood Drive-In Golf is the most innovative and exciting themed Mini-Golf course in Orlando, Florida. This unique 36 hole location has features that are predominately operated by electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, which demand more specialized and frequent maintenance. To that end, we are looking for an experienced and qualified technical person to help contribute to our company's success by providing an excellent guest experience through timely maintenance and repair of all course components. We are primarily looking for an independent contractor, preferably incorporated, with liability insurance and workman's comprehensive. For a talented and motivated individual, this is a great opportunity to break into ongoing contract work or add to an existing clientele base. Alternatively, and if appropriate for all parties, consideration can be made for the candidate becoming a "Team Member". Please note: team Members are required to successfully complete a background check and a drug test, as we are a drug free workplace. Whatever type of employment that's selected, we are looking for someone with proven experience (with those items listed below), common sense, the ability and craving to learn new things, and the motivation to become an honest and valued member. This is considered a weekly part time opportunity/position offering varying work times before, during, and after our normal hours of operation (9am to 2am, Monday through Sunday). These times will also depend on the type and length of repair(s) needed and whether it impacts our guest experience. Basic Requirements: • Good communication skills. • Reliability, dependability, honesty, and self-motivation is a must. • Must be able to work outdoors and in all types of weather. • Able to lift and move at least 25 lbs. • Have basic technical abilities with good practical and problem analysis. • Have basic mechanical skills with good practical and problem analysis. • Have basic programming skills with the ability to tackle unfamiliar software and get results. • Have basic low voltage electrical knowledge. • Have basic understanding of how to use power and hand tools. Skill sets that will eventually be needed (either currently known or will need to acquire): • Standard 12v and 24v LED lighting. • LED Pixel lighting with control and programming. • DMX fixture control and programming. • PLC programming and automation control (currently DirectLOGIC). • Various analog and digital sensors. • Some carpentry skills. • Some metal/mechanical skills.
