Update: The two quail originally posted here have been adopted, however, two others have become available due to the person who initially reserved them having medical issues... I have two Juvenile Male Mearns Quail (Montezuma Quail) in need of loving pet homes. Most people have never heard of Mearns Quail, as they are quite rare in captivity. They are not only beautiful birds but they make extraordinary pets. Mearns Quail are relatively easy to care for. They are a clean bird that can easily be housed indoors, provided the appropriate accommodations. They are also on the quieter side, and the sounds they do make are pleasant and songlike. When handled regularly, they are highly personable and friendly. They really enjoy sitting next to you or on your lap, and they love to receive pets and cuddles. Mearns have longer lifespan than most Quail and may live more than 7 years in captivity. If you would like to learn more about keeping a mearns quail as a pet, please email me.
